ArcSight SmartConnector, developed by ArcSight, Inc., is a lightweight software component that collects, parses, and normalizes security and log data from a wide range of sources. It supports hundreds of commercial and open-source technologies—including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoints, operating systems, applications, databases, and cloud services—and converts their events into the ArcSight Common Event Format (CEF) for consistent analytics and correlation.

SmartConnector can ingest data via syslog, files, APIs, and databases; run as a service or daemon on Windows and Linux; and securely forward events to ArcSight ESM, ArcSight Logger, or other CEF-compatible destinations. It offers event enrichment and categorization, filtering and aggregation to reduce noise, and reliable delivery with encryption, compression, caching, and destination failover. Flexible parsers (FlexConnector) enable support for custom data sources, and connectors can be centrally configured and updated.

By standardizing diverse telemetry and ensuring dependable transport at scale, ArcSight SmartConnector speeds SIEM onboarding, improves detection and investigation accuracy, and helps organizations meet compliance and security operations requirements.

ArcSight SmartConnector is developed by ArcSight, Inc. and is used by 1 user of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 4.0 and 5.0.
